Today is Ivalde blog challenge day, and a perfect time to share with the world how much an impact Neferia Abel, owner and designer of Ivalde Vintage Fashion, has made on my Second Life. First of all her love and loyalty to her family is unequalled, in my experience, by any designer. The tags she bestowed on her Ivalde employees was “Trusted Friend”, nuff said.

Ivalde, was the first dress i wore, after shedding my Noob clothes, courtesy of Nef’s generosity. Hanging around the lucky chair i made some very good friends and I was present for Christmas advent giveaway and was hooked for life. When i started earning my lindens, it was at Ivalde i would spend them. The designs were superior to most everything i saw in sl and they evoked memories of family members captured in old photos and stars in Hollywood movies. The textures were rich and the elegance and style of the skirts all perfectly stitched and seamed. The recollections of times playing in the jewels cases of mom and gran could not have been recalled more pleasantly than by adorning myself in one of Nef’s creations. Her designs became the inspiration for many of my jewels, including the above, my first set of pearls worn by Nef herself.

If you look closely at the blogger appreciation picture you will see it is the same picture used in the creation of the cameo to this new set the Neferia Collection. This finely textured necklace was done in tribute to Neferia to show her my gratitude. I have grown in my abilities as a designer much in part because of my proximity to a designer who exemplifies quality and excellence.
